Leilani is a communications and project coordination specialist with nine years experience leading outreach, capacity building, and network development for regional development projects focused on critical environmental issues such as marine resource conservation, sustainable fisheries, climate change adaptation, clean water access, air quality and solid waste management. She is focused on developing effective methods to communicate environmental conservation across a cross section of audiences. Prior to working in the development sector, she was a journalist for five years in the Philippines and the United States.
Inspiring Ocean Conservation Through Games for Change
Issues confronting our oceans and marine resources are complex and therefore require creative ways to address it. One way is through gamification. CTC has developed several “Games for Change” as a way to spread awareness and inspire people to learn about the ocean and protect those that depend on it.
